Quinoa Fruit Salads

This salad is really easy and very tasty. You can use whatever fruit you would like and it will still be great. Experiment by using different oils as well. Make this recipe for your next get together or event.

Winter OnGuard Quinoa Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water
  • Pinch of salt

OnGuard Dressing:

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp agave or honey
  • 2 drops OnGuard essential oil blend

Fruit:

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups peeled & diced oranges
  • 1 1/2 cups peeled & diced grapefruit
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped apples

Directions

  1. Prepare the quinoa by rinsing under cold water and then adding it with the water and salt to a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn heat to low and simmer for around 15 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
  4. Remove from heat and fluff with a fork.
  5. To make the dressing, mix the agave with the drops of doTERRA essential oil and pour over the quinoa.
  6. Add fruit to the quinoa mixture. Stir well to mix.
  7. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Sweet Citrus Berry Quinoa Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water
  • Pinch of salt

Sweet Citrus Dressing:

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp agave or honey
  • 2-4 drops doTERRA lemon/lime essential oil
  • (add 1 drop doTERRA peppermint essential oil for a fun variation)

Fruit:

Ingredients

  • 1 cups blueberries
  • 1 cups chopped blackberries
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 1 cups chopped pineapple chunks
  • (use whatever fruit you’d like in whatever proportions you’d like)

    Directions

    1. Prepare with same instructions as the Winter OnGuard Quinoa Salad.
